What a Hog Hunt!!! How about riding shotgun on this one??

I'm guessing the shooting was done with some variety of an AR...worked on 'em.

I have a good friend that owns a FNFAL and a CETME, both in 308 semiauto. I would love for he and I to take those rifles and get some of that. Help our brothers in Texas get rid of some of those hogs. I'm guessing Texas is where the hunt took place. Yep, nothing boring about that video.

TPWD started will now issue a permit to hunt hogs with helicopters to help control the hog population.   Most of the time shotguns are used with 00 buck in them.  I posted this on another thread, but I'll put it again here.  This is from a friend of mine who runs a ranch down in South Texas.  He was out feeding cows and shot these from his truck one morning.  This gives you an idea of how plentiful they are and why we need helicopters to deal with the problem.

I made it to Birmingham this past summer in a day and a half and that was with an overnight stay.  You could leave on Thurs after lunch, be here Friday night, hunt Saturday, then drive straight through and be back Sunday.  It's not that far.  Out in West Texas we call a drive like that "goin' to town to get some groceries!"

Back in the late 80's I owned my own rig. First load I hauled was a load of crated furniture I picked up in Gadsden, Al and it went to El Paso, Tx. When I got to Dallas I realized I was only half way there. West Texas goes on forever. If I had a week to kill I would like to make the trip and take out some hogs.

well, despite Texas being "overrun" with hogs.. they can be VERY elusive and hard to hunt
much harder than deer

Remember, that video is edited.  I'm quite sure they didn't keep finding hog after hog like it leads you to believe. 

Oldshooter, where I hunt I'd give better odds that you'd see hogs.

Thats good for You! Where I live and hunt we sometimes have dogs and we dont see them kinda numbers. I have seen 15 or twenty run by my son in a dry creek bed at dusk in west Texas but they were small and were headed for a water hole in a hurry and he never got off a shot!

No doubt it was edited, but if that was in one day it still was a lotta porkers and in the large size to boot!

probably by peta pressure! was a good one! low flying chopper shooting porkers on the run through open fields! by the dust flying I'm guessing shotgun and buck shot.
