The Israeli Ambassador said that in response to question as to, "Will Irael attack and take out the Irainan Nuke sites?" He says that if the UN or US or someone does not act THEY WILL!

Is that the "present" or "past" Israeli Ambassador? Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shamed the UN eloquently, but I cannot imagine he, or anyone else from the Israeli government tipping their hand, or threatening in advance openly. They are more do'er, than talker.

He said it very forcefully and made it pergectly clear that they would attach and he also stated that they were fully capable of being successful in such a mission.

He would not speak those words without his Governments full knowledge and permission. So there can be no doubt what will take place soon if the UN or US does not act. Thats why you see the sudden change in stance by Iran. Even though they are stalling they know that Israel means it.

See the difference when one threatens and means it as to when one hollers and screams but does nothing...the Israelies are not afraid to fight.

George Patton wanted to go ahead and take the russians on and get it over with while wew had the Combat powerr over there. He saw the conflict coming that last to this day with them. MacArthur wanted to go all the way to the capitol of china .....scared the hell out of president that coupled with knowing MacArthur would win any election if he ran, led to his dismissal.

I used to think that I was glad he stopped MacArthur from nuking the Chinese. Now I think he might have been on the right track. The world sure would have been different today with a whole lot less bull from overseas.

We have been in Korea for how long...nothing settled country split in half and a real nutcase that runs the North. Viet Nam run out with our tails dragging..Iran made a mockery of Carter and revealed him to be the weak sister he was. The list goes on...all these things are the way they are because of the politicians. Had they let the warriors take care of the wars we would be so much better off today.

Just curious to the stance of obongo? He has been spreading his muslim love since he has been in office. Israel may very well be fighting alone as well as getting shanked from Hezbollah at the same time. Do they have any allies besides the US?

Powderman Hitler was not a threat to the US. We were attacked at Pearl Harbor due to the harsh stance the US took on Japan on an oil embargo. Japan had no recourse but to attack the US if they wished to continue their war with China, as they had no fuel to continue it for very long. Germany only had claim to Europe, Russia and Africa. Japan had claim to the rest. After the US entered the war the Germans hatched a plan to blow up skyscrapers in NY with planes. Al-Qeada discovered the plot in the German archives and used the plan for 911.

The US was aware of what Hitler was doing and did nothing until they were pulled in by Japan. Europe pleaded for help from the US but it fell on deaf ears for over 2 years.

The world is a hodge-poge of conflicting historical facts, of each countries stance on the others affairs, and on each countries higher ground attitude over the other.
For instance, Europe (England and France) did beg for help when Hitler was invading and conquering them, and both wanted the United States to get into the mix. HOWEVER! It was not just the politicians that didn't want to enter WWII. The AMERICAN PEOPLE after the horrific losses in WWI, had become (and rightly so) ISOLATIONIST IN THOUGHT, wanting no part of foreign affairs or wars. THEY (the people of America) had been the ones whom had suffered the losses of family members only to have the Europeans to snub their noses at them after the conflict.

Have to generaly agree with you on the entrance to wwii one point Roosevelt tried all means to deliver aid to churchill some would be considered illegal if not out right so. He saw that we would not be able to avoid war once europe had fallen. he personally felt it was better to keep hitler at bay "over there" until we were dragged into the hell.

hitler was not ready to take us on he wanted a wait until the whole of europe was his. The japs left him no choice as they were all allied in the axis pact. that freed us to arm england. then hitler in his stupidity turn on russia which without that england was doomed and more than likely the rest of the world.
