which outfitter are you hunting with?? bear in mind, most hunting in sask. is done over bait for deer, but this year that has been phased out due to the rapid spread of cwd in that province. our deer in western canada are a large body deer, 200 lb doe not uncommon. bucks in the 300 lb range common. this makes the rack look alot smaller than it is. if your outfitter is baiting, it may give you a good look at the rack. if you are hunting clearcuts or open areas from stand, same deal. just not as much time to judge the animal. don't forget to check out the c.f.c.'s website re. temp registration of your rifle when you get to the border. may save you alot of time. their website is:
