I bought a 45-70 barrel off here a while back. The barrel would not lock up tight. I shimed it with help from the faq's. I got it to lock up but the latch came all the way up and had no wiggle. I did not want to shim the latch shelf so I just put it away.
Well today I got to thinking if I change the latch maybe I would get lucky. Well I did it locks up tighter than a bank vault now.
Maybe I will get lucky again and it will shoot good. I leave for Colorado on the 14th and would really like to take this gun with me.
