TC picture, what is this thing?
« on: October 06, 2009, 03:20:46 PM »
I put in the first picture as a reference, cow elk, this in the Cascades in WA state, about 5,000 ft level, taken some time before today and after three weeks ago.  The camera is about 5 feet above the ground.  What is/was it and will it eat me mext time I go there?  Larry

I looks like it's eyeball to eyeball with the camera, so it's 5 feet tall.  It's got a fairly large head.....looks a lot like my boss!?

One eyed, one horned flying purple people eater.  :o

Actually it looks a bit like one of the small cones on fir trees to me. Any chance of a fir tree limb close enough to have been blown in front of the camera?

What with the eye in the center of the picture, short hair, head turned a bit sideways, do you have any wolverines or badgers in the area. Their certainly not 5'tall, but I think they can climb tree's, and could it be hanging on to the side of the tree smelling the camera? gypsyman
