Hey Double D, I was up in your area of the state last week and saw some beautiful country up there.  Specifically, we were in Valier doing some pre-season bird counts on pheasants.  We saw a lot of birds leaving my boss satisfied about the promise of this years bird hunting.   We have a few inches on the ground around here.  I am at about 6500 feet elevation and if I was a betting man, Id say more snow is going to start to fly within the hour.  Temperature has dropped a few degrees since this morning and is in the upper 20s.  Let it fly!  Have a great day.

I'm probably getting into "do do" for this and can't blame it on the devil, but honestly Man every time I see your handle I keep thinking of a Brassiere :D :D

My apology...truly, my mind couldn't resist. :-[

Hey Douglas, just did me good on a H&R Handi in 7mm-08 that when I get it out, and put a proper scope on it, bipod etc we are gonna be ready for anything on the prairie.  Of course it will be good for most things this side of the mountains as well  ;D

I didn't respond to this because I'm in a snit...you didn't drive 25 miles further up the road and buy me coffee!   :)

Hey Double D, I feel you man, I thought about it, but due to circumstances, I never mentioned  it to my boss.  Ya see, we had an unfortunate circumstance that kept me from making the suggestion.  My boss, a gentleman and professional bird hunter and fishing guide lost his number one dog while on the trip.  We had to make an emergency stop along the way.  When he got out of the rig, his dog leaped out the door behind him.  The dog, named Two Dot, ran up the road fifty yards and then crossed over to the other side.   A car came around the corner and I began to pray.  "please stay in the ditch.  Oh god, Two Dot please stay in the ditch!"  As I watched in the rear view mirror, the dog jumped up out of the ditch at the last moment and was hit and rolled under the car.  It was heart breaking.  Nobody to blame, but at the moment I wish there was, because I wanted a reason to unload the hurt I felt.  My boss was, of course, even more distressed.
I would realy like to pay you a visit someday, Double D, but this was not the time.
