Nine months into his presidency (little p), and the NEW LINCOLN, has received the Nobel Peace Prize. FOR WHAT? For apologizing to the world for our bad behavior? I agree in small part that we have since WWII, rather heavy handed interfered with other governments doings. One of which is Iraq. Afghanistan I was for bombing into oblivion, but Iraq? Let'em shoot each other till theirs no one left to shoot.
But the Nobel Peace Prize? When the Dixie Chicks (remember them?) made their infamous remark that: They were ashamed that GW was from Texas, I had no real problem with what they said. Hell, after he bailed out wall street and the auto industry the last six months of his Presidency I agreed with the Dixie Chicks. My problem wasn't with what the Dixie Chicks said but, RATHER "WHERE THEY SAID IT"! Merry Ole England is not a good place to bad mouth your President. Even if he did turn out to be a socialist. I mean, hell, didn't we have to kick England out of our country once?
Obama, THE NEW LINCOLN, has accomplished NOTHING, in his nine months, other than CONTINUAL SELF PROMOTION, but has proved himself to be both a liar, and an incompetent failure. He has not governed, but rather has been an example of a WALKING CONTRIDICTION OF, "HIMSELF".
With this latest award involving the Nobel Peace Prize, I would render the award, as useless, nonsensical, and MEANINGLESS, in any future presentations to anyone.JMO

Now public radio says it's because he sold out the US by creating a policy environment that supports the notion that if the US is to be a world leader, it will have to have policies that most of the world agrees with. I am not joking or exaggerating. I just heard this almost verbatim on the radio less than a half hour ago.

To debate why is a foregone conclusion. To debate who, the same.
Out of the world situation we have now I do not expect any less. Therefore I am not suprised.

The world apology tour.  The board for the peace prize is left wing and it's all politics.  In order to get this he was nominated approximately 2 weeks into his presidency.  The love fest continues and this Nobel Peace Prize has little to no meaning anymore.  President Carter and Al Gore as past recipients bear that out.

Unfortunately, this is going to stroke B.O.'s ego so much it's gonna get deep.  We only thought he was on TV a lot.  Let's see how much more he thinks of himself now.

Dee, I started getting sick to my stomach when Bush was signing all that awful legislation just to get the money he wanted for Iraq, it was full of funneling our tax money around, not to mention I agree we should not have went to Iraq at all.  By the time Bush was asking for bailouts at the end of his term I was totally sick and realized he was so far off the mark I was embarrassed I voted for him and could not take it back.  All the while the lefties were making out like we was come super conservative or something, just because of the party brand.  I realized then how ignorant many people are, including myself sometimes, but I'm smarter now.  The current president and administration makes me want to puke but I have nothing left after Bush got done.

Nobel Peace Prize for Obama....well, the soap opra moves on into high gear I guess.

I know what you mean jimster. I voted for that clown as governor and I voted for him twice as president. When he jumped into Afghanistan, and my youngest son went, I was still with him, and so was my son. When he jumped on the Iraq deal, is when I said enough of this crap, but I still voted for him the second time AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGEMENT.
By the time my son had finished his second tour in Iraq, he too said, it is not a country worth saving. Obama is a Marxist moron, with a power of other morons, that I simply do not fathom. He will finish at an accelerated pace, what the Bushs, and the McCains of this country started.

Kind of reminds you of the guy at the bar with a roll of one-dollar bills with a hundred wrapped around it to impress the ladies who drives the rented Ferrari outside.  :D
