Twist rate?
« on: October 10, 2009, 12:41:25 PM »
Hey guys, I picked up a cantilever slug barrel for my 930 and I'm curious what the twist rate is. Can't seem to find it anywhere on mosberg's site. Anyone know? Thanks.   jammer

Don't know what a model 930 is(guessing shotgun) the twist rate should be around 1 in 4 or 1 in 5. Shotgun slug barrels don't require the fancy twist rates that centerfire rifles require due to most slug gun shots are all generally within a maximum of 50 yds.

1:36"  ;)

Mossberg® 12-gauge fully rifled barrels have a 1 in 36" right-hand twist.

It's kinda like an afterthought the way they stuck it there instead of putting it with the barrel specs like everyone else does!!  :-\
