What is your favorite fall beverage?  Unleaded, I like a good apple cider. Spiced cider if I'm drinking it hot. Leaded, I like an Applejack Rabbit.

Water. It's my favorite beverage the rest of the year too. Our neighbor gives us the best apple cider I've ever tasted. He makes it at home in a press using our apples. I don't drink it. It's fabulous, I just don't drink much except water and tea and the occasional soda.

Depends on what I've been doing. Coffee in the morning, water or soda pop on normal days in the afternoon. If after running the chainsaw or log splitter for 4 or 5 hours, however, beer. To end the day, usually about 9-9:30 at night, mixed drink. Either grapefruit juice and vodka, or gin, lemon, seven. About halfway thru the second one, end up snoring in the lazy boy, with the fireplace going. Once in a great while, will indulge in a hot tea and a shot of blackberry brandy. One of those, and I own the couch. gypsyman

Coffee and/or hot cocoa (preferably the homemade kinda, but powdered is ok too).  I've never been much of an achohol drinker when it's cold.  I know it warms the blood but if I'm drinking alchohol I want it to be cold too, and cold beverages in the fall or winter don't jive with me :).  I want something hot and preferably loaded with caffeine. :D

Cowboy Coffee...I think thats what we call river coffee. We made it in the can the coffee came in. Filled it with river water, threw in a handful of coffee with chicory and brought it to a good boil. Threw in a little cold water to settle the grounds. It would float a spoon!

During the day nothing beats a glass of ice tea made with Earl Gray. Water with supper, and after, a glass of San Sebastion Vintners Red.

Agree on the Sam Adams Octoberfest. It is my favorite of the Sam seasonal beers. The distributors in this area can't keep it on their shelves.

Also strong 8-o'clock Colombian coffee every mourning.

Good apple cider is becoming hard to find, because good ole government regulations are forcing people that sell it to pasteurize it which changes the taste. One person probably got sick from drinking cider with bacteria in it, so they felt they just had to make a law. Small operations are the best place to find the unpasteurized stuff.

I have access to a press so I am able to make my own cider. Never cared much for the store bought kind, too much like apple juice.

I used to get together every fall with a neighbor and make leaf wine.  After the leaves start to turn you take a gallon jug of German Moelssle(?) not to sweet put in 2 sticks of cinnamon, screw the cap back on and set it in the closet for two weeks.  On a cold windy day we'd get together and start a fire in the fireplace put in a poker and pull out the jug.  next we fill two heavy coffee cups with wine, jam in the poker till wine was good and hot, then set back and spend a day looking out the window trying to guess whose yards the blowing leaves were going to land in.  Good man my neighbor, he currently is at rest in the VA cemetary here in Arizona.  He was Marine and I was Army but we forgave each other for that long ago.

A cup of coffee out of a thermos while I'm in the woods, seeing the sights, hearing the sounds, smelling the smells, feeling the cool air, my rifle across my lap and the sun coming up.  If I die there, Heaven will be a real short hop.

FALL ?? What's Fall ???   It's still 98 degrees here in Florida.  Did some yard work this past weekend, sweated 4 shirts and had to stop.  Thought I was getting heat stroke.   A big glass of iced tea for me.   Fall......  ???
