What to Mainers think of Olympia Snowe?

It seems she's a good fit for a state without much for jobs except education, government and tourism, but that's just an assumption. Do they like her there?

Are republicans trying to kick her out of the party?

Not even:  Republicans in the US senate are becoming an endangered species.  Snowe votes with the Republicans once in awhile.  So does the other Maine senator, Susan Collins.  It is nearly impossible for a so called conservative Republican to win in the northeast part of the US.  Republicans there have to be pretty liberal in order to get elected to the US congress. 

The last US house member from New England was Christopher Shays.  He lost his re-election bid last fall.  Shays was a dedicated anti-gunner.

Over and over!! I left Maine in '85. She's been there a spell!

BTW, Susan Collins was my Child Support Enforcement Agent - one of the better ones, I might add. I was on the rolls for 23 years, almost to the day. Paid in full, with receipt.

The republicans support the Maine senators because they helped give them a majority and the power that goes with being the majority.
  They and a few other RINO's were the reason the republicans's accomplished nothing while they controlled the white house and both house's of congress! They would vote with the democrats to defeat border security, cracking down on illegals and many other things.
  As long as the republicans party supports these RINO's , I will not support them. I don't care if Obama stays leader for life. As long as they have those folks in the party they are impenitent. This lets them appear to try to do the right thing, but in reality they can do nothing!
