22-250 length

For all you 22-250 shooters and reloaders I was just wondering what length you guys make your loads. Do you go right to a total length of 2.35" or shorter??

Just off the lands .005"-.010" if you can do so with enough bullet still seated, if not, load to recommended COL from the data you're using.

what he said , mines 22-250 ai and i seat .01 off th lands
curiosity killed the cat , but i was lead suspect for a while

I am curious as to what the total length of your 22-250 loads are.... Could you help me out?

It depends on the bullet you load, and what my chamber will accept doesn't necessarily mean the same COL will work in your rifle. Best advice is make one of the modified cases that Fred shows in the FAQs so you can determine the maximum COL with your bullet of choice in your chamber and work from there, see A SIMPLE COL GAUGE in the Handloading section of the FAQs.  ;)
