Where have you seen Handi's in stock?
« on: October 13, 2009, 05:12:43 PM »
Since a lot of people are out hunting Handi's (especially in certain calibers)  I thought a thread on where they've been spotted would be good.

Personally I've seen a lot at Guns Unlimited in Ayden, NC. 1 30-30, several .357's couple 30-06, several synthetic 45-70, and one BC. Ranged from $219 for the .357 to $347 for BC.
No 45 LC or 44 Mags, no 500 S&W.
If he's carrying a singleshot, don't expect a warning shot!

Kind of a long drive for most of ya, but the 2 Shipton's Big R stores here in Billings MT. have a good selection.  Ya'll better hurry though, I got my Eye on another 44 mag on an SB-2 frame there. ;)  You guys keep talking about that 445, I just might do it. ;D   DP

Cabela's in KC a few weeks ago had a beautiful 45-70 BC with sights on the wall for $375.   Couldn't get it at the time though.   Some things are a bummer.

I bought my 45 Colt at The Ammo Dump in Farmington NH. He had a bunch of Handi youth and superlights in .223 and .243 last time I was there. He's pleasant to deal with, too. Same goes for the Village Gun Store in Whitefield NH who always have Handi's in stock.

hi all,

when i bought my 30-06 from cabelas a week ago the guy told me that they can search all of the other cabelas store inventorys and have a gun transferrred to your store within a week. so if your near a cabelas it might be worth a try, they had a .243 and a .223 and a synth 45-70 and the cabelas in dundee, MI, i had the guy search for a .308 and there are none of those in any cabelas store at this time.

Thanks, Zack

Greentops in Va has 3 BC's in 45/70  now. They still have a couple Pardner slug guns. Gander Mountain has the same 45/70, 204, 243, etc because everyone in the area hates them and won't buy anything there.

Greentop is a great place.
Haven't been there in many a year.
They carry a very large inventory of most everything they handle.
Prices used to be real good.
Can't say now.
They are right on US 1 just north of RICHMOND VA.
I think the town is ASHLAND VA, not 100% on that.

Stacked in 3 out of every 4 corners in my house! Not a single one( any caliber) even remotely comes close to having $100 invested in it ;)

Gander Mountain in IN today had a 44 mag cac greyish frame with camo stocks and a scope $349 I think. Never seen one like this yet. Seems pretty high but they are out of control on most other things. Have had a fair selection of primers for 4.99 a hundred last two visits. They put new stickers of 29.99 over their old stickers of 24.99. on 1# cans.  Gotta have a pair to do that with powder they've had for a year.

Tim, is this a special run like Dicks camos? If so wonder if they made some in 357.

I was in Fayetteville, NC, last week and stopped by Gander Mountain. I was surprised at just how many Handi's they had in the racks. Several .44's and a few more in .357. They even had one long barreled 45-70.

Closer to home, Gunnies' in Orem, UT, has several Handi's in stock. Also here in Utah you can find them at the Cal-Ranch stores in Tooele, Spanish Fork, American Fork, Cedar City, Vernal, West Jordan, Farr West, and Logan.
