Looking for lil gun data
« on: October 14, 2009, 03:42:28 PM »
I went to buy my 3rd reloading book. Ive got the Lyman 48th & Lee 2nd. I was looking for a book that had data for the 357 max & lil gun. Cause I got a lb. Gander mtn had nosler manual & Speers. Neither had llil gun & 357  max loads. The Lyman & Lee cover most of what I need except that. Plus Ive read both cover to cover, so I figured Im ready for another one
I dont care what gun Im using as long as Im hunting

Your best bet is going to be the Hodgdon manual.  They make the powder.  Check their website, as they do supply free loading data through it.  They also make a full printed manual that probably wouldn't be bad to pick up.

Before you go with Lil Gun, why don't you read the Lil Gun thread up on the Freedom Arms discussion forum.

I don't think lil gun will cause any problems in a  non revolver gun.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

That thread in the FA section was an interesting read. Ya'll reckon Hodgdon is aware of these issues? Wonder what they'd have to say on it?

Go to www.hodgdon.com    The Lil Gun info you need will be there. I shoot it in both my Rugers and my Contender. Never a problem as was stated in the other thread.

Don't know what they were thinking as they have Lil Gun for the 357 mag. Anyway if memory and internet research serves me correctly 22 grains is max behind a 180gr jacketed bullet. Pressure is still a good bit below other magnum powders. Just be sure to use small rifle primers, but you already know that.
