black powder lube

WE GOT A 50 CAL MOLD FROM YOU AND BLUE SOFT, I WAS WONDERING IF THIS HAS ANY PETROLUEM PRODUCTS IN IT?  I WANTED TO KNOW IF IT COULD BE USED WITH BLACK POWDER, IF NOT I'LL USE SOMETHING ELSE.

I can't tell you whats in Blue soft, but I can tell you I use it in blackpowder loads in a 45-70 and a 450 NE 3.25" and have never had a problem, in fact it seems to perform better than SPG for my intended purposes.
I do shoot duplex loads however, and use a grease cookie of a lube other than Blue Soft though.
20 rounds fired, wipe all the fouling out with one wet hoppes patch.

  I don't recommend any of the LBT bullets lubes for black powder use, yet, as the above report states, some are very happy with it's performance.  So try it, and if it outperforms others, use it.  Based on customer reports it works better than anything with the black powder substitutes.

  The two top performers with real black powder, this based on customer reports, are Lightening lube and Wonder lube, or Natural lube.  The latter is available from most gun shops if they offer black powder goodies.  I've no idea how one finds lightening lube.
