NEF scope rail problems
« on: October 15, 2009, 09:44:40 AM »
NEF/H&R pardner pump scope rails are on back order. It's bad enough they don't offer accessories in stores, (you have down load an order form and mail it in!) Next time I'll buy an Rem 870 and pick up what I need off the internet or at the local gun shop.

i was able to get a weaver 82 rail to fit on my pardner pump, yes the base is arched and the frame is flat but i've had mine on for over 200 shots (slugs) and have never had it come loose.

and you can just call them and have them order one for you instead of the whole mailing thing

I really like my pardner pump. It shoots and works better than any 870 I've owned. Just PO'd about the rail. I got my hands on a moderately priced Bushnell banner shotgun scope and bought a bunch of winchester low recoil slugs. I was going to set it up for my son for the NH youth weekend. Didn't figure I'd need six months lay over time for a scope rail.

yeah, i own 2 pardner pumps, one as a backup turkey gun and one as a smoothbore slug gun for deer, i put a 18.5 cylinder barrel and a black rem 870 shurshot stock on along with a nikon prostaff  2x7x32 and shooting brenneke k.o.'s and winchester power point smoothbore slugs the between my family and i the gun has taken over 15 deer in the past 2 seasons, its just as reliable as an 870 and has worked flawlessly for me, except for a few empty shells not ejecting but that was prolly short-shucking on my part.

when push come to shot i wouldn't trade my pardner pump for an 870 anyday.

but yeah try out the weaver 82 base if your in a bind and it will hold you over until h&r decides to make some more bases

Thanks Zack
