I believe Cabela's still sells a package to do this. They also sell a shooting rail to put up on the tree around your stand to which you could easily attach a camo cloth to surround you. Long years ago I bought a product called the "sniper shack". Back then you could get it from Tree Lounge folks and I think you still can. It is exactly what you are looking for.
Basically it is an aluminum frame that you attach to the tree behind you via bungee cords. It then has three pieces of wood connected together with what amounts to a short section of rubber tubing. At the ends of two of them are pieces of plastic tubing that slips over the ends of the aluminum. In use it is a 36" square surround with camo cloth that slides over the wood and then onto the metal at the back and completely surrounds you in camo cloth. It came with a roof even that fits over the frame and does a passable job of keeping you dry unless it's really pouring hard and the wind blowing. Mine is old and worn but I'd not take anything for it. I've even used it while sitting at the base of a tree on the ground.

I made one this weekend. Bent some 1/2" conduit and bolted this to my seat frame. It is similar to the common shooting rail (none available for my model of climber stand), but further in front and wider, I attached the curtain to this and string back and around the tree while in the air. For climbing, I hook the curtain sides to my seat frame and it doesn't really get in the way.
My climber is such that the seat surface is level with the seat frames, so hanging anything off of the seat frame basically just covers your legs. I wanted the top of the curtain higher, now I have it.

Sounds like you fairly well duplicated the Sniper Shack I have just in a bit less compact package but likely a bit stronger as well. Watch that metal rail tho when shooting it will make game spooking noises if you allow your rifle to bump against it wile shooting.

google skylodge for an interesting looking blind that would cover ladders, hang-ons, and climbers. Doesn't look to be bow friendly, but it could be, I suppose, however, for gun hunting it looks very interesting...
Best of luck, Arch

I just noticed the blinds and treestand forum, I should have placed this there. If someone could move the thread - I would not complain
