I was shooting some loads over the chronie today and decided to see what I got from the box of Hornady LE that I bought way back and only shot 5 shots out of. 

1950 fps +/- 10 fps either way on five shoots.

This is the first factory ammo I ever tested that gave me a LOWER MV than stated.  Everything else has been higher.

Muzzle blast was so bad it kept moving the chrony and even knocked it over once.  And each shot left the bore filled with black grit.

had a friend do it on my chrony with a marlin guide....2005 fps
4 out of 6 shots.. the others were around 1991
my handi doesnot like the le's... my handloads are rem 300 jhp @ 1980fps
100 yrd groups are .50-.75"... if conditions and me are right ;D
the le's don't perform for me i guess its because of the chamber depth
i'm satisfied with my handloads and have'nt researched the reason

It's made for the 24" barreled XLR, it chronys a little over 2000fps in a 24" Ultra Hunter.

Well I was really wnating to empty the brass the easy way anyway.  Think I'll slap some JB Young crater-2's in for bear season.
