I might have spelled it wrong but you probably know what I'm talking about. I picked a bottle of it up this weekend. I've heard a lot about it. What do you think about it? Is there a certain set that it works better on?

It works very well on both flat sets and at dirtholes.  You will find Cachottier (pronounced Caa-show-tea-ay) to be an excellent all around canine and predator lure. I know people that swear it is their #1 lure on fisher, cats and coon. Its my #1 coyote lure, thats for sure. Few lures provoke such a consistent digging response at the lure hole as Cachottier does.

I use it by pouring a small amount onto a cotton ball and sticking that down the hole. I use urine with it at sets- but I use urine at all my canine sets.  Stef just sticks a small piece of corncob into bottle and tosses that in the hole. When he uses Cachottier, he doesn't use any urine, just the lure.

Tman,

So for a flat set do you hollow out a place then dip the corn cob with the lure and place it in the hollowed out spot and cover with a leaf.  I don't think you just want to pour it on the ground do you.

All of my flat sets are 2 hole flat sets- essentially a walkthrough set.  I usually put a cotton ball in a wobble hole (a hole made by pounding in a rebar stake and "wobbling" it around), pour some lure on that and then push the cotton bal lto bottom of hole.
