My .204 project is finally finished.

I have a BC that I sent in the reciever in and had a .203 barrel fitted to. It became awkward to change barrels, and like so many others decided to buy a reciever and fit the barrel to it. The barrel finally fit the used reciever with the shimming directions from Quick to do's site. I also had to shim the spacer. Now it shoots a 39 grain Sierra to about 1". It shot better before, but that is history. I am ok with the accuracy, as it is minute of coyote.
I had a few light hits which I have never had before, and I suspected that the firing pin was the culpert.
Being a used reciever, I don't know what the history is and what to do about it.
I had the reciever open today looking closley at it, and the pin stuck and wouldn't retrieve. I pushed it back with a screw driver.  It also would come out a short distance, but also would come out 2x the distance.
So I looked the FAQ's over and found nothing on firing pins.

Question: What is the problem, and how do I fix it. All I want to do is squirt some oil down there.

I know that's the easy way,...what should I do.

 Thanks,

 BB

Bent or gummed up is likely the problem, if using a penetrating oil on it doesn't free it up, I'd tear it apart and check the pin. Download Perklo's trigger hone info to remove everything to get at the firing pin, I don't think you can remove it with removing the transfer bar(lifter and striker), but I've never tried, I've only stripped the entire frame.
