Gonna be out for a couple days Im back

Finnaly get to do some bow huntin. Myself & 3 buddies are doing our annual canoe hunt. 2 nights 3 days down a muddy river. I try to do this trip a couple times a year just seems like its getting tougher & tougher. with 3 kids to feed. We canoe back about 2 hours & set up camp Then hunt from there, or canoe to a couple different spots. Ive had OK success in this area. couple years back took a descent 8 point out outta there. My buddy shot a doe the other day so tonight its backstraps over the fire. May even drink a beer or 2 Hopefully Sunday Ill have a full story of success.

Im back. One word RAIN. It downpoured for 2 days. I did pretty good. Stayed almost dry. Shot a 6 pt yesturday afternoon, about 3 pm Pretty much a bang flop. Got him field dressed & drug him to the river. Got back in my stand, an hour later a real nice 8 pt came in. He was about 5 yards from where the 6 point dropped. The 8 pt knew something wasnt right, did an about face & high tailed it out of the area. The other guys seen lots a deer but no one else got a shot. Last night it stopped raining just long enough to cook some back straps on the fire. Not a bad trip
