Rings for 26mm scope, old Kollmorgen
« on: October 13, 2003, 04:05:48 PM »
I am looking for rings for this great old Kollmorgen scope.  Weaver used to make them, but cannot find them now.  Do any of you folks know where I could get some 26mm rings?  I have used a Dremel to carve out a pair of 1" rings to slightly oversize and used them, but pretty crude, and not satisfactory for a high recoil application I have in mind.  Thanks.

I did not see a listing in my suppliers' list of Leupold rings, but I should have contacted Leupold directly.  Apparently not enough demand so I need to go to the source rather than wholesaler's.  Thanks for your listing of numbers.

I read your post again, and realized you were a dealer.  I will keep the info, and perhaps I will contact you directly later.  I need to determine ring height, and also may get the scope checked out by someone who services old scopes to be sure it is sealed OK.  Any suggestions on service people for this?  Thanks.
