Recoil spring
« on: October 24, 2009, 10:40:04 AM »
Today I tried out a heavier recoil spring in my Norinco 1911A1 45acp.
The original spring was a bit weak (weaker than 16lb) so I tried a 18,5lb recoil spring from Fusion firearms and the gun became much more controllable with less muzzle flip.
It functioned beautifully with my 200gr SWC target loads.

I guess it was something that "1911crazy" wrote that put me on the right track here so thank you! :)

Oh, I also fitted a new barrel bushing from Fusion firearms and shoot a 3" group at 50m but thats another story.. :D
