We are presently/imminently about to lose our USA Sovereignty!!!

This is a discussion about a treaty our President apparently intends to sign this December to help combat global warming.  Problem is, the treaty goes well beyond simple carbon exchanges.  It discusses a move toward a "gobal government" with, I understand, no voting our public comment being considered.

I don't either -- and posted with the objective of sparking some workable ideas that remain consistent with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Any ideas?

I think everyone should get together and vote in a Republican next election, and then although we'll still loose our sovereignty, we won't loose it quite as fast.

I ran across this article earlier today:

It seems particularly relevant to our discussion.  Evidently the "Tea Party Movement" has better standing among voters than does the Republican party!  This could take us to a reformed party that incorporates the Tea Party message or lead to a third party candidate.  Challenge for the 3rd Party is to actually win instead of merely ruining the chances of the mainstream candidate whose vision and positions are closest to those of the third party.

The "real challenge" in my opinion is "for Americans to quit voting out of fear", by voting for "main stream candidates" that are merely "close to" but "not for" the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Until they stop "voting for less" they are not going to stop "getting less".
Their trading theirs (and mine) freedoms away, for a little TEMPORARY security. The founding fathers warned about that.
To get them COLLECTIVLY to stop, would be a challenge indeed. I don't believe they have the intestinal fortitude to do so. I believe they will continue voting this way, until they have traded all our freedoms away.

I think the intestines of the general public are going through alot right now. And Obama isn't finished with us yet. Congress and the Health care bill has become a public boondoggle, and scandalous for many of them. Fortitude may come easier than we think.

I would hope that you are right bearmgc, but I will believe it when I see it. Old habits are hard to break, and right now most are blaming others for the consequences of their own voting trade offs.
