Most Liked Slug For a .410 Pardner?
« on: October 25, 2009, 04:15:14 AM »
Trying to not buy several brands and types if not needed with the cost of ammo, although yes I know all guns are unique. Generally speaking, is there a brand or style of .410 slug that seems to "generally" shoot better out of the .410 Pardner?  2 1/2" or 3", Rem or WW? Thanks for your help.

2 1/2 inch Winchester seemed to be the best out of my .410. 3" Winchester's where all over the place. Remington sluggers sometimes okay other times could not hit a thing. scout4<><

Yeah, I've pretty much decided the 2 1/2" shells would be my shell to try from the searches I've done. I went to Bass Pro today and bought a few boxes of the 2 1/2 Winchester SuperX and Remington Express. The WW's are Hollow Point rifled slug's and the Rem's are rifled but not Hollow Point. Can't wait to get to the range to see how the .410 Pardner shoots them. BTW, my Rem's do not say "Sluggers" on the box. I did notice the 20, 16 and 12 guage boxes did say Slugger though?

remmies are definately, hit or miss. i bought about 30 boxes of the remmies when they were on clearance ($1.50). First 8 boxes were execellent I mean at 25 yards i was within 1.2 inches on 3 shots. however, the rest, which were a different lot code, were all over upto 4 inches at 25 yards. switched to winchester and groups are still under 2 inches but not by much.....
