.357 Magnum Handi Smackdown!

My 9 year old daughter Madison and I went to the Three Rivers youth hunt this weekend. She didn't get her first deer this weekend, but we got close enough for her!. This old boy came sneaking around the back of our ground blind. She couldn't get a shot and was walking away from us quickly. So I took her .357 magnum handi rifle and put one in his right shoulder to slow him down a little. He ran about 60 yards and ended up about 35 yards on her side of the blind. Then she laid the hammer down right through the boiler room and through his heart. He weighed in at about 240 lbs, and she was as excited as she could be.

Hello from Georgia,

   WAY TO GO !!!  This is the type of hunting story that I love the best. Sure we grown ups have a lot of fun hunting, but when kids are encouraged to get involved in any kind of hunting it is more rewarding ! That pig likely outweighs her 3 to 1, but with that Handiqualizer, I will pick the young lady every time.  Keep up the good work, and post the pics of her next great hunt. Thank you very much for passing down the love for hunting to our next generation.

Federal Premim w/ 140 grain Barnes Expander.  I am extremely impressed with this round.  My shot went through the right shoulder busing it and passing through.  Her shot went in just behind the left leg, through the boiler room and heart and left a huge exit on the right side.  Both passthroughs with substantial bone breakage.  I wouldn't hesitate a second to put this through a whitetail at 125 yards.
