ms, if the accusations were real, the liberal media would have reveled in the crucifixion of Palin. They still would. Never has anyone been so scrutinized as her. Are you HOPING for her downfall and failure in some macabre way? Affair or not, it is no ones business but, her and her families.
I don't think she left office because of the accusations. I think it's much deeper then that. I would never wish bad ill on her.I think your walking on razor edge now stick with me on this one.

Hell, I've never met the woman. Why would I be on razor's edge? I just hate to see anyone accused of something they probably didn't do.
Like I said, this affair deal is like a bunch of ole ladies gossipin.

For all the critics of Palin; ask the people who know her best (Alaskans) what she is about. You can start with Sourdough..he regularly posts here.

It's not so much Palin as it is the moral integrity that she portrays to people with ideals of our forefather's intentions.   And that is a Godly Christian Nation.   God can easily turn this nation around with the man, or the woman, of his choosing.  Look what he did for Israel with a small town unknown meekly man named Gideon.  One thing led to another, and he became a national hero.  And you can bet your boots he had plenty of critics.  For the way Gideon went about doing things was totally absurd.

I think you have a valid point there, since it seems to be the primary problem with the Republican establishment. There are a certain number of them comprised mostly, although not entirely, of what TM refers to as "neocons". they are fiscally conservative, but culturally  out in lefty land. If they are to help the Reps they must get off their anti traditional values soap boxes.  "Values" Republicans do accept the position of fiscal responsibility, but the others won't offer the same courtesy in respecting the values voters. If they keep that attitude they could well be ringing the death knell of the Republican party...they do have a choice.
Ron Paul was on FOX tonight along with his son. When asked if this was a great time for a third party to rise, he confessed that it is probably the best time for it, but concluded that due to media attitudes and refusal of coverage..it would not likely succeed.
Not being a member of either major party, I liked the advice given by Fred Thompson the other day. He said he would simply vote for the most conservative candidate in each case. If a Rep & Dem were running against each other, he would vote for the most conservative, if it were a Dem, Rep and third party running against each other...he would vote for the most conservative one...Sounds about right to me!

i agree simply because the third party just can not make it with all the laws and other things...like major major money...that have to change in order for the third party to win. so for now the third party idea would have to sign away their soul to get the required money and in doing so would just become a clone of the two it is trying to defeat.

If what R Paul said was accurate, to hope for national change we must bring our support of values candidates to their attentrion. I believe that backing values candidates at every chance, may very well help to do that. No problem with a bit of financial help for a really decent candidate either...see below, from Zazzle.com

I like Ron Paul; I'd have voted for him, if he was on the ticket.

I'm giving President Obama benefit of doubt, and leeway; but if he turns to gun-grabbin' I'll trash him.

I like Sarah Palin; she's hot, and she pisses off all the right people!

"I'm giving President Obama benefit of doubt, and leeway; but if he turns to gun-grabbin' I'll trash him."

I gave him a chance (didn't have much of a choice) and he went and signed the bail out package.  Then he signed the stim package which was against everything he ran on.  (could not believe the things in there I read)
Now he says he will sign anything...just pass something...does not care what's really in it.  Obviously.

Far as guns goes...he already has a bad record from his days in Chicago...you might as well trash the man right now. He is not worth another chance...or any chance.  He used em up already.  We know he will sign any gun control bill that hits his desk...and he won't read it either.  He reads nothing but his speeches.

I know about his gun record - he's a liberal Dem, it's expected. I think he's holding off because he knows it' won't fly.

On the stimulus package/all that - I'm not an economist. I know there are divergent opinions - my inclinations are libertarian - but I hope it works. I'm glad to have had some unemployment benefits.

I say I give President Obama benefit of doubt because... I am done with ideology.

yellowtail3 ...did you read the stim package? All of it?

If not....you do not know what's in it. Very few people took the time to read it including Congress, who did not write much of it, their staff did.

I have met nobody who has read it that was not steaming mad...regardless of Dem, Rep, independent...and even liberals themselves can't believe what was in it...once they read it all.

HC is the same thing...hidden things...Cap $ Trade...same deal...all hidden inside.

Read it...you will not believe it....and when you do...you will be done with Obama for him just signing it.
Without reading it...you will never know....

Palin hasn't make a commitment to run for anything has she? I donated small once  post election and I am on the email list. I've gotten one Emil that ask for a donation. Reply was I will be glad to donate when she runs a test poll for the run or makes a committment to run. Too early still I guess. Maybe she is just trying to get out from under debt. I will donate to that again also if she declares that is what she needs.

Any other possibilities out there makeing any noise or movement or commitment yet ? Are they all holding thier breath right now ? I think so.

Sarah is still fighting ethics complaints.  Even after leaving office the frivolous complaints keep rolling in.

As for her quitting, No she was backed into a corner and was unable to do her job.  The kids were screaming for her to quit.  Todd was concerned about their financial obligations, (now over 600K) in legal bills to fight those complaints and the state does not pay for those.  Her son Track was the only one saying not to get out.  Track was saying stay and fight, and she almost went along with his advice.

Sarah realized things were not getting done on the state level, therefore she needed to move over and ler someone else in that could do the job.  She had charted a course, and hoped the people she had put in place would continue to follow that course.  Sean Parnell has not changed directions either.  He is keeping to the same course on major issues.  But he is not as strong as she was.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

   Ohhhh....rk4570;
You obtain too much of your information from simple comedians such as Tina Fey and/or ignorant left-wing bloggers !
First, Since many of them have obviously been educated in the contemporary public education system, let's give the left-wing bloggers a geography lesson!
The Diomede islands are just 2.4 miles apart in the Bering straight, with the international dateline running between. One is part of Alaska and the other is part of Russia...DUH !

Now, let's give those left-wing bloggers a lesson in listening comprehension.. Sarah NEVER said she could see Russia from either her front or back yard !  Here is what she said;   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXL86v8NoGk&feature=player_embedded

The comedian Tina Fey, said that during the time when her far left network was trying to smear Palin..but Palin never said it; she simply stated a geographical fact that the network apparently was ignorant of.

Only one question remains..Were the left wingers in this case, suffering from a lack of listening comprehension, ignorant of geography...or simply lying ?

I think you have a valid point there, since it seems to be the primary problem with the Republican establishment. There are a certain number of them comprised mostly, although not entirely, of what TM refers to as "neocons". they are fiscally conservative, but culturally  out in lefty land.

"Fiscally conservative" ? Neocons?  I don't think so.  In the store store with Mommy and Daddy Taxpayer, you can find the 'neocon' kids over in the toy soldier section, along with babies Pelosi and Obama now, who wander over there now and then from the doll make-up and play-Doctor section.
