sick dog Pepper

My friend Pepper (who only hunts milk bones) is not doing too well. She is a mix breed and has been with Me for 13 years so far.

I have almost lost 2 other dogs to Moccasins in the last 2 years,but this is not a known cause.

I wish her safe passage,but also want her to stay awile longer too.

She does not seem to suffer,but will not eat.

You guys understand.Keep her in you're thoughts please. Thank you

Pardner this may not be what you wanna hear but she needs to take a  one way walk in the woods. 13 is a lotta years for a dog and if you love her, dont let her suffer. If you cant do it then get a vet or someone else to!

What ever you choose I wish you and your "friend" the best.

Get her off to the vet. Hopefully she has a few good years left to enjoy. Weather just changed as well. May just be sick with allergies or got to cold. Dogs get sick and over it just like we do.

I just got thru having my wife's house dog put down. He was thirteen, and was healthy his entire life. Then one day he stopped eating, and started getting weak. Turned out he had a liver infection common in older dogs. $300.00 later, no change, and now he is laying next to "Tank" a Jack Russell we lost a year or so ago.
Good luck on your old friend Arier Blut.

My wife still gets to cryin every now and then (it's been 3 months) but, now she mentions havin another one. We'll see. Ole Huff my other Jack Russell is still patroling my half acre yard, and right now that's enough for me.

Thank you guys for the support and best wishes.
Pepper passed away Two nights ago.
I was not with Her so I hope it was peaceful.She did not seem to suffer any,thankfully.

My other dogs sensed something was wrong,and tried to console me.

She was a good companion ,and will be missed greatly.

I forgot just how hard it is to bury a good Dog. :'(
