Taming Trigger Pull!!!
« on: October 28, 2009, 07:00:42 PM »
Some 3 weeks ago, I decided it was time for my wife to stop trying to fight through the 10 pound double action trigger pull of her new Sig P-239. It as also causing her index finger to become very sore and stiff.

I opted to install a set of springs from Wolf & Co. to take care of her problems. Hitting the target on the first shot was almost impossible for her to do with that 10 pound trigger pull. Now after the first shot, all was just fine in her shooting the P-239, as she grouped 7 shots into a mere 2 inch group at 21-ft. However, that first shot was always 8 to 12 inches low to the right of the target.

Installing a 12# spring took care of all trigger pull problems, dropping the double action pull down to 5.5 pounds and single action pull down to 3.75 pounds of pull. The cost for the spring kit was just $17.00 dollars. Sig Sauer wants $150 dollars to put in a new spring but will not lower the double action pull below 8.5 pounds, so I think we got a better deal in both money and poundage. ;D
