.38 Special in .357 Max Barrel?
« on: October 29, 2009, 03:35:46 AM »
I have heard that it is possible to shoot .38 Specials and standard .357s in the .357 Max barrel. Anyone here ever do it? What effect did it have on accuracy? I can't imagine it would affect the accuracy more than the skid revolver bullets take from the cylinder into the barrel... I expect the same relationship would be true of .44 Specials in .445 barrels...

I shot 38s and mags and full length .357 maxs in my max barrel. NO harm no foul just remember to clean the chamber well after shooting the specials in it. Mine was actually quite accurate with all of them but it was an MGM barrel and for what I paid for it, I expected it to be so.
PS you can also use the same dies to load all three of them.
