When I lived in New Mexico we had lots of coyotes around the stables where I kept my horses. The owner had lots of Chickens and Guinea Foul around. Coyotes just loved them, so he had to keep them fenced. I kept a .22 Mag in my tack room, and shot many Coyotes trying to get under that fence.
Also had young girls that would bring their old cats kittens out to the stables and turn them loose. The girls claimed the cats would keep the mice away from our grain. Those cats sure drew in the Coyotes. Kittens would only last a few weeks. Darn Coyotes. Someone kept tying kittens out to the brush a couple of hundred yards from my tack room. Just right for a 22-250 shot.
