Has Anyeone Sent Gun PARTS Across The Country?
« on: October 29, 2009, 11:53:12 AM »
Gents...I have a simple question...has anyone sent JUST gun parts across the country?  How can I sent them - US Mail? - UPS? - FedEx?

No powder, primers, or gun parts with a serial number or anything like that...just a 14" T/C barrel, scope, reloading dies and UNPRIMED brass.  My nephew wants to try a 7 X 30 Waters for Eastern Whitetails and, being a Good Uncle, I thought I'd loan him mine to play with and to help make up his mind, BEFORE he lays out his money.

I'd appreciate your experience.

All that can ship any way ya want. USPS Flat Rate Priority is likely the cheapest way to go.

Think this way.
They are machined parts.

I received some recently and the post office marked the box "Rattle Okay". :D
I suspect they x-rayed the box somewhere along the way.
A little off topic, but I thought it was kind of funny.

You can ship a complete firearm to yourself if you want. Just use Fedex or UPS Air. I sent myself a box of parts that turned into a Remington Model 17 when I got home.
