I live very close to the U.P. and I believe I could find some decent material for this forum. I'd volunteer for this job.

You are very welcome John. I have been going up to the U.P. most of my life and I've really enjoyed it. I wanted to go to school (way back then) at the Michigan Technological University in Houghton, but my wife didn't want to face the extra snow, so I went to the University of Wisconsin instead. Beautiful Country up there in the U.P.

Most everyone I know from the U.P. is a Packer fan.

Heck, even back in the 70s, I bought a truck from Lindstrom Ford in Iron River and the whole place was decked out with Packer banners and pictures.

And since we're talking football, you guys keep your chins up. The Lions are going to turn it around. I won't try to sugarcoat the current situation, but the team is loaded with great players and I really like their new rookie QB. The Lions have been around since the early 1900s and the rivalry between them and the Packers is one of the oldest/greatest in NFL history. You'll get nothing but respect from me on this forum when it comes to the Lions.

With all of your experience in the wild, you'd think by now you guys would accept that the Skunk is the most elegant, handsome, creature in the forest.

Not only that, he is arguably the most powerful force that walks through the valley. He runs from no other creature, and if you give him any trouble, he'll light you up with his bouquet of popourri until you are on your knees begging him to stop.
