New DW 22 owner with a question....

Just got a Monson 22, 6″ barrel…haven't even fired it yet, but I'm in love....

the rear sight blade is a little loose…how do I tighten it to stop the wiggle?

Also, how do I disassemble for deep cleaning?  Just take off side plate?  wnything to watch out for when I do that?

Finally, any other advice on care and use of the DW 22 would be welcomed!

The small frame DW's are a breeze.
1) remove the grip
2) cock hammer
3) screw the grip screw into the hammer spring guide by going through the end of the tang.  ( this releases the tension)
4) remove the sideplate
5 take a very close and clear picture of the innards; 'cause you're gonna forget the first time or two

 the only thing that gave me trouble was the two little pieces that hold the crane in place, I kept forgetting they will fall out very easily.

get alot of different ammo. from my experience and reading others on the forum, the .22 can be a finnicky lil so and so. Mine finally decided it liked the OLD Federal Classic round best.

Of course, I know you opened the cylinder and checked to be positive it is unloaded FIRST

by "screw the grip screw in to the end of the tang" do you mean right where it normally goes in the grip, but now it goes further because the grip is off?

Well H$%#, I read that to myself twice and missed it both times.

 I should have said "using the long screw from the side plate, insert it into the end of the grip tang."
When the hammer is cocked, the guide rod in the spring; which rests in a detent in the hammer, will be close enough to the end of the tang for the sideplate screw to reach the threads in the guide rod.

this is how it works on my two Monson's
