Colt Government MK IV 380 Blued

I just picked up a unfired (except factory tests) MK IV Government 380 blued with the original box, two original mags, and papers....SN is RC 196XX can anyone tell me by the numbers when it was made?.....

I dont know by the numbers but I bought one new in about 1981.
How much did you pay for yours ?

I have only shot mine about fifty rounds and I enjoy field stripping
mine more than shooting it as it is supposed to be a scale down
1911 .45

I never did like the later Mustang versions with the shorter barrels.
