Are ya Trapping?

How is everyone doing?


Today was my first check and so far held 15 Rats out of 25 Traps. I also had a few weeds too but i let those go back. :)

Rat population is a little higher this year. I have 12 huts setup  right now and i have around 25 to 30 to set up before for i leave.  ;D  No Competition again Which Rocks! 


Did you get out  tom?

 No  I didn't, a 50 mile hike with boat on my back--didn't seam real feasible.
Only opener I have missed in 40 some years,other than 91 ,when we had 39 inches of snow.

I'm trapping, Set Saturday and checked Sunday. Had about 50 rats. Only got 30 home. After checking one area that I'm trapping, I loaded the canoe and my rats onto the truck. Drove a short distance, then unloaded the canoe and checked some more sets. While I was away, someone took a pail of rats out of my truck. I even considered putting the pails in the cab of my truck. But thought who would steal rats. I had a lot of fun, but it was ruined by someone's greed.

30 rats so far  lots of little ones  set up a new area this afternoon  bummer on the pail full of rats 4 coil  i put everything i can in the cab of my truck   had a pair of red wing boots lifted years ago while duck hunting  learned the hard way on that. doesn"t seem to be alot of guys around this year  any body sold any fur?
