I ordered a Puma M92!
« on: November 02, 2009, 07:31:56 AM »
Thanks to Teddy!    ::)  I wonder how I'm gonna sneak this one past Kathie...  :-[

Anyway, I got the 24" oct. Bbl, CH receiver rifle in 44 mag.  Cost a little more then Teddy said, $386 vs $350, but I'm not complaining.   ;D

These apparently are old stock Pumas from when they were imported by Legacy.  The new Rossi imports are listed under Rossi.   :P

You are going to love it. I have one in .357 and it is the most fun gun for the money you can buy. I have to keep a close eye on it as almost everyone who has seen it wants it. The sights suck and will be replaced with Skinners. I think. I haven't shot it past 50 yards becouse of the crappy sights but it seems like it will shoot fairly good.

That's just what I got for the last 92, 16" 357 with big loop.  My 24" is a 357, I did change out the cresent butt-plate stock for the reg carbine stock.  I'm used to putting the butt in the pocket of my shoulder and with my chisled pecs ::) ( ok,ok, my old man boobs :-[) the points dug in a bit much.  DP

Hey now, I don't want any angry wives trying to chase me down!!  It's happened before.  :)  The $350 Puma's were the 20" blued models.  The $386 Puma's are the 24" models.

I just got mine out to the range last night and did a little range report for it.  I was thinking about you when I wrote it.

 ???

 :-\

Hummmm

That's strange, I've only had angry HUSBANDS trying to chase me down.

 ;D

Did you get pick it up yet?

My dealer emailed me yesterday that he's received it.  I can't wait to pick it up!  But he's also had a Handi Rifle receiver waiting on me for about a month.   :-[

Since I'm not deer hunting this weekend I'm gonna try to sneak away and get it!

I've also decided on a tang sight, but I think I'm gonna try the irons for a while.  Just for grins don't 'cha know!   :D

I had the angry wives after me when I got out of basic training and bought a motorcycle and their husbands wanted one them.  Good thing that bike could move.

Steve's Guns has a nice ladder sight you may like.  It was on the orginal 92's.  I'm seriously considering upgrading to it later on.
