DON'T SHOOT ME!-obama is good for America
« on: November 02, 2009, 03:08:19 PM »
I can hear the hammers being cocked now!
 HOLD UP, DON'T SHOOT !!!!!
I'm not a troll .
I been around here awhile but just don't post alot.
So bear with me,
If you stop and look at what the average AMERICAN is doing now compared to ever before when it comes to the government.
People that use to say "my one vote don't mean anything" are starting to get involved in what our government is trying to do (to) us!
The Tea parties have what use to be the silent majority speaking-SHOUTING -ENOUGH!!!!!
Clinton couldn't stir up Americans enough to do what needed done.
We just sat back and watched and complained about the dems.
We needed someone so anti-American that the TRUE PATRIOTs would wake up and protest what the democrats and American hateing libs are doing to this great country.
And we can thank obamuslim for being that one thing that could unite all true AMERICANS!
I just pray America is strong enough to weather this liberal storm long enough till we can get these American hateing libs out of office.

Stepping down from my soap box now.
So quit pointing them guns at me!!!!!

These people your talking about for the most part will vote for the Liberal Republicans and the Republicans will never undo what this bunch is doing now. Oh sure, it woke a few up, but they are already oiling up for the next lessor of two evils, and are even discussing it as you typed your thread title.
You see? It's Democrat or Republican. Americans can't see any farther than that. Their near sighted.

Maybe,,maybe not!
Gingrich backed the republican in the New York race because of party, even though her views on issues (abortion ,gay rights) was more in line with democrat thinking.
Palin backed the Independent because of his conservative views.
So far the Republican has dropped out for lack of support from the voters.
So she throws her backing to the democrats.
I think the reason she is backing the dem candidate is in the hopes that it will discourage republican voters from throwing their votes away on independent candidates in the future if the dems win this election.
BUT! if the independent wins, people will rethink on how they vote if they think a third party candadate really has a chance of winning.

Well..................... I aint gonna shoot ya over that but I aint gonna humor ya either.

I have more respect for the lazy vermin that voted for the SOB because he was gonna give em free stuff, than I do for jello brains that really thought he was gonna do the right thing and change anything for the good! All you had to do is see that he was taught by a communist and was friends with leftist, and went to church with an American hating bigot of a Pastor. Or read what the man said before and during the campaign!(like the constitution needs to say what the country can do for you not what it cant do to you, or we need to spread the wealth)

But never mind all that!!! Just see what he and his accomplices are doing to our national standing in the world and  our future economy.  Our Grandchildren and theirs will be paying for this little bit of education or "eye opener" for years, and this country may never  recover!

All anyone had to do was do a little research and read and they would have seen through this socialist BS artist! When are people gonna quit buying the "used car salesman pitch" and look a little deeper into who is blowing smoke up their behinds. Most wanna believe the crap so they do(they buy ginsu knives every day), the rest just want a free ride.

Frankly "We" had this coming and deserve what is gonna happen! However our children did not! Every mother loving one of you that has children ought to sit em down and apologize for what you have let happen to the country our fathers made for us. Frankly I'm ashamed, and have said so to mine!

I do not think this destruction of my country has any good points at all!

You are right on. That's a good point. It is why I believe he was the better choice for president compared to McCain. McCain would have maintained a status quo within the republican party. Obama is so polarizing that people are taking action against his ideas.

Actually Dee, that kind of sounds like you.  You classify them more by party than anyone else.

How can they NOT BE CLASSIFIED BY PARTY. You are one of the many that say Independents CAN'T WIN. You are one of the ones that say to vote Independent is a vote for the Democrat. There are a few Democrats (very few) that are SOMEWHAT CONSERVATIVE, and there a two or three Republicans that are Conservative. How on earth can you classify them any other way, with the way you yourself vote?
A Republican is supposed to be  CONSERVATIVE, or at least that's what most claim, and alleged CONSERVATIVES such as yourself vote Republican because YOU SAY, the Independent can't win. WELL! Your Republican, BACK BY "ALLEDGED CONSERVATIVE, REPUBLICAN" NEWT GINGRICH, dropped out of the race in NY state, and is backing THE DEMOCRAT! WOW! How about that?
I'm bettin the Independent wins, because REAL CONSERVATIVES will vote for him, realize the Republican Party is in shambles, and has much like the Democrats ABANDONED THE PEOPLE.
Now! You singled out, and took exception to "one sentence" in my post, why didn't you use the entire post which would put the "one sentence" BACK IN CONTEXT concerning the Republicans WILL NOT, undo what has and will be done by the Obama administration.
There was a clear line of demarcation in the former THREE PARTY RACE. DEMOCRAT! REPUBLICAN! and INDEPENDENT. How can that be denied. Even the polls listed the there parties vote estimates.
Furthermore, it is beyond me, why ANY TRUE CONSERVATIVE woud listen to anything Newt Gingrich has to say. Look in this case whom he endoresed, and look what she did with it. SHE ENDORSED HER DEMOCRATIC OPPONENT TO KEEP THE OFFICE ON THE MONOPOLY BOARD AND OUT OF THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE.

At the risk of being non PC - most all people are allowed to vote these days . The founding fathers did not allow those with out a vested intrest vote . I'm not talking about class , color or religion but what we have today is people voting that do nothing but TAKE from the system . They are a cost and vote only to increase that cost . When you have nothing to loose it is in your best intrest to vote for the most free things you can get. It is the foolish people who have allowed this to take place that have ruined our country to the point of not being fixable .

There's a lot of truth in that. The essence is that our system allows people who want other people's money to vote it into their pockets.

Dee, I do think that they generally should be classified by party.  You, however, made me laugh when you said that Americans can't see any farther than party, when you claim that anyone with an R or D behind their name is the same.  In other words, you can't see any further than party.  Just thought that was humorous.

We, the independents gave the lefties a good run in NY's 23rd last night. Sure our guy didn't win, but it was very close. The Conservative candidate was unknown some 30 days ago, he had much less funds than either of his opponents and even when the party-endorsed Republican Scuzzy-fava quit, she threw in with the Democrats. Now, anyone in that district knew where she stood on the issues. A great showing for the tea party folks! This is exactly the move many of us have been looking for...will the independents build upon it?
There are not nearly so many "party loyalists" as some folks think. When push came to shove, the Conservative only lost to the machine Democrat by about 5K votes... Even after Scuzzy-fava threw in with the Democrats, about 5K party sheeple stayed with her  (the party label). Enough to screw up the election, but it is a demonstration of the weakness of "party labels".

BTW: NY State has a "Conservative" party, the one I am registered with. I will stick with them as long as they stay conservative.
The Conservative party does not "self mutilate" or "take their ball and go home", if there is a candidate from a major party that has proven conservative, in absence of a good candidate of their own, they will back that candidate. Almost invariably, that would be a Republican...because of their stance. The NY Conservative party is a fiscally AND culturally conservative party.

One thing is a given! If you come up with a viable third party right now then you garantee a Democratic win, Every time! do the math, Any body remember Slick willie and Perot?

The independent was very useful last night. He demonstrated to the Republican party that the conservatives are NOT a given vote. They must put up a candidate that the conservatives will vote FOR. Lessor of two evils ain't getting it anymore.

As soon as the Republican party recognizes that to win they need to give the voters a candidate that is truly conservative, not just more conservative than the Democrat opposition.

Vote your conscience whatever the party affiliation, until the party changes from within. This is the only way the Republican party will get the message. When they see that a win was easily within reach but lost because of spineless candidates thing will change. The third party vote is the quick math that will get their attention. Not voting is too hard to count, Democrat votes in "protest" are impossible to quantify but a vote for the clear conservative choice is a bit** slap right in the face that cannot be ignored.

In NY , 23 it would appear the Rep voters not only want to pick who wins their vote but want to pick who runs on their ticket . Not be force fed by a commity , seems reasonable . Hope the rep's figure that out .

IMO
If you survive the Obama Administration without becoming a Socialist country it should scare enough people to keep an eye on their politicians for a long time before they start playing with that sort of stuff again. Very few countries get a second chance at that without paying a very heavy price.

Yep, voting maybe should hinge on how much tax you pay. Then when votes are cast they would reflect only the way people wanted their money spent not how much of it they were gonna get!

God needs to come back into American hearts. We are on a one way ticket to oblivian. We are falling into a confusion that only prayer can help. This country used to be a place where the majarity ran this country . Now we are just trying to GET VOTES ANY WAY WE CAN. THAT IS THE NAME OF THE GAME.

Zach;
You have a good point. Our country ran quite well for about 200 years. Yes, there were some problems, but they were being ironed out.
Then came the nutsy radicals of the 60s who did their best to destroy the country and caused many to turn from the God our country was virtually founded upon. Since then, things have pretty well gone to shambles. It doen't take a genius to read the tea leaves!
The election in NY was a picture perfectexample of the "second American revolution".
In NY's 23rd, a crime was committed a few months ago. A bunch of party hacks in a backroom somewhere decided to place Scuzzy-fava in the spot to run for the seat. She was far left in her politics and most Republicans knew it so they didn't drink the Koolaid. A great lesson for the Republican party!
Most of the voters on the right obviously voted for the most conservative candidate of the three. The pre-examination showed that any of the three COULD win..so the bulk of the right went for the Conservative candidate.
So, some ask..what have you proven? Pelosi gets another vote in her column? The fact is, if the "chosen" Republican had won, her votes would almost all be in Pelosi's corner anyway.
So the party machine got a lesson; let the people choose the candidate in a free election..or the party can suffer......
The votes in Virginia and deepest blue NJ, were heartening. Here in the US, we may be at a crossroads that is referred to in Scripture. Perhaps because so many people in the US who have chosen to ignore God...it is now time for this great country to recede into the abyss of Socialism/Marxism! Surely the last election and the choices many made seems to back this contention. Like a child's seesaw, it appears this nation is at it's fulcrum of free existence during 2008 thru 2010. Will the balance swing back to freedom, or will the weight opf stupidity plunge us over the edge, into the abyss?
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)
