I know it isn't hunting related, but is Indiana related.  Seems Robert has done it again.  I keep telling folks this guy is trouble.  Now it seems it's out there for everyone to see.  Good luck if you choose to deal with this foul ball.  This is just one of many incidents involving this place.

#1   Why?    Why would one break into an empty house? 
#2   Who?    Who ratted him out? Lol 

I have a strong feelin there's more to this story than just what has been reported.

I assure you there is more to the story.  I feel the same way.  I wanted to post this here as there are some here who have had dealings with him and I felt they should know what kind of guy they're dealing with.  I always remember, even if a story isn't completely true, there is always a certain amount of it that is.  Obviously this story is more truth than fiction since it falls in line with some of the other things that have gone on.  I wouldn't be suprised if it wasn't some sort of payback??  I dunno.

 Well that just stinks. I liked going in that shop. The employees are a lot better to talk to and deal with than the other gun shop across the highway

The cops were tipped off that someone was going to break into a vacant house? That's weird.

Lonny, when you go to Keislers talk to Lester or his son Aaron.  Have you ever gone to Good to Go in Georgetown?  Corky there came from Keislers.  I would tell you to tell him Ron sent you but he might treat you worse.      Gonna give him a call or stop in there tomorrow if I get a chance to see what else there is to the above story.

Triple G's in Greenville had the best prices in the area the last 2 times I ordered guns.  Not a very big place, but he can order anything.

I have heard of him. But not sure about the price thing. Last 2 guns I know from there were avarage prices. I did hear he is a good guy, and will order what you want. But so will most shops. Not knocking the guy, just not dealt directly with him.

West side of Georgetown, South side of S.R. 64, up on the hill at the truss company.  Don't get me wrong.  They ain't cheap, but Corky does have some stuff and a lot of knowledge.

I just priced a new S&W 629 at Triple G's last week.  He wants $750, just to give you an idea.  I checked everywhere local and online when I bought my T/C Icon and Encore pistol frame, and he was the cheapest.  

If you order something from out of state Tactical near the jail on Scribner Driver in New Albany only charges $15 to use his FFL.

I bought a couple cases of 5.56 a couple of years ago from Good To Go in Georgetown.  I was online and the best price I found in the country was in Georgetown.  They can do laser engraving too.

 I believe he tricked a former Georgetown police officer into giving him the combination to the conservation club gate, by telling him he was a member who had simply lost the combination. 

He claimed to be a current member, though no club records of his membership could be found, and he could produce nothing to to show he ever was a member or had paid.  He was barred from the club grounds at that time I believe. 

He was on the town board at the time and I let the police department know not to give him any more combinations regardless of what he told them.

I had talked to him on the telephone once before that occured and I recall I was not impressed with his demeanor. 

I haven't seen any examples of his work, or those he uses for services, so he may perform skilled work, but I'll never pay to find out............Mike

No arrest was made.  The town marshal advized us where to post ''No Trespassing'' and ''Private Club - Members Only'' signs.

He said if we report a trespasser, and there are no signs, the police will come out and tell them to leave.  That could be repeated again and again. 

With signs in place he will tell them to leave the first time.  If there is a 2nd occurance by the same person then charges will be filed against them. 

I don't know if this in just an Indiana thing, or a procedure the county prosecutor wants followed. 

I also posted signs stating ''Trespassers Will Be Prosecuted'' and '' To Report Trespassers Call xxx-xxxx''. (the county police telephone number)

 #1, the cop that gave up the combination should have suffered consequences
 #2 If it is a known private property under lock and key with a sign , I would have thought a fine was a no brainer.
 #3 Did he just use the range? If so Then I think he should have been arrested for being a dumb person, There are tons of acres around that range area to shoot, I know I fished around that immediate area  a lot

The problem is trespassing laws in Indiana have no teeth.  Ever go into a business with a no guns sign on the door while carrying your protection piece?  Only thing they can do legally is ask you to leave.  As long as you abide by their wishes no law is broken and there is no recourse.  Signs such as NO TRESPASSING are not law.  To gain unlawful entry by deception on the other hand, which seems to be the case here, is a different story.  For a sign to carry any weight it must site specifics and even then can be challenged and beaten.  Problems usually arise when law enforcement is called and the officer does not know the law himself.

All this being said, I would put this guy in the same category as Robert at 111.  Neither of them will ever see any of my money.

Trespassing in Indiana requires a warning first before you're in violation.  That warning could be a sign that is in a spot that is clearly seen or verbal.  Most of the time when you call the police for someone trespassing, a policeman will come out and give the trespasser the warning.  Dispatch should document the warning against the person.  If the police are called again and the person is still on the property when the policeman arrives.  The person should be arrested for trespassing.  It a misdemeanor so a policeman has to witness the violation for an arrest on the spot and the warning through dispatch covers the policemans ass so it's not he said she said.
