Beeman use to sell a cast for making one's own pellets, but they weren't so hot. They were a bit heavy for the rifles of the time. The stamped versions that they sell are hard to beat, for spring guns. For the pre-charged guns the pellets designs could use some improvement. There have been a few cast pellet makers, but they all seem to have gone the way of Beeman's pellet mold.
John Ghild’s I know I have spelled his name wrong again, but anyway he use to make rollers that modified pellets. He made one for the 177 caliber Beeman Kodiak and another for the 10.5 grain 177 caliber Crosman Premier. However the Premiers have gotten so bad that I don’t think even his roller would help them……………
I played with some better designs, but making them in any number is a lot harder and requires more precision than a home hobbyist can put together. One would almost have to setup a some expensive production equipment.
Hope this answer helps!
