I'm sorry if this is not an appropriate post, mods please delete, if needed. I am looking to get completely out of modern arms (AR-15s) and into traditional flintlocks. Does anyone know of a gunmaker who has interest, or deals, in both? I'd love to a trade new "new" rifle(s) for a new 'old" one. I'd appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction.

Doesn't sound in-appropriate to me. Alway's wanna welcome folks to traditional stuff.
But ya need to narrow down your location a bit, at least to state or nearest large city. You'll have issues with FFL licence transfers and stuff if you cross state lines,,
Only advise I can offer is to cash sale your current guns then buy.

Pawn shop's??

I only know of one feller here in Minn,,but all he'd do is list it for sale on on-line auctions then bartter with the cash with you.

No GUNMAKER would be involved in both. Most any gun shop however would. You should have no trouble trading ARs for muzzle loaders and perhaps the shop would even contract with a custom maker to build one for you. Most likely tho you'll come out better to sell and then buy.
