Bobg I am and as soon as I get it back from the gunsmith (he's putting a scope rail on it) I will let you know. I haven't made up my mind as to weather I will put a 2X tru glo red dot or a nikon prostaff 2X7X32 shotgun scope on it. I really want to use it for shotgun deer hunting.

The 308 I bought from Dicks ,about a month ago came with the stock. Called H&R/Remington Oct.30 to see if that stock is available for sale, they said it is so I ordered it and received it Nov.6 . #on the invoice is FR03947T for the forend at $32. and FR03946T for the stock at $65. A little expensive, but it is what I wanted to put on the 20ga.USH. A little sanding on the forend and it fit perfict.

ipyrek thanks! What do you think of the 308? I put a Nikon prostaff on mine and did the JB bore paste thing and had it shooting 1.5" at 100 yards with rem 150gr core lokts. Took a deer at 160 yards with it.

Very good Spikehorn! I don't have much experience with the 308 yet. All I did was a quick sight in at 50yds with the scope that came with it, most likely will put a different scope on it. Shot a good tight group with 180gr rem. core-lokt at 50yds but that isn't very far. I like the way it felt and shot. Felt like a lot less recoil then the Rem700 I used to have a long time ago, the heavy barrel must make the difference. I'm in a shotgun zone for deer hunting so I've been busy getting the 20ga Ush set to go for the 15th, when the gun seasen starts. After deer hunting I'll get back to the 308 for coyotes around here and black bear up north next fall.

Sorry I don't want to confuse anyone. The SB2 frame I sent in for the 20ga USH barrel is a SB2 Rifle frame.

I first called H&R and made shure the barrel is in stock and available. Sent out the receiver the next day, in a post office small priority box. That was August 26, H&R received it on the 28th. Received the gun back Sept. 16th. 3 weeks, not bad ! Go for it, you'll love the 20ga. Ultra slug barrel. Shot my buck monday morning, a nice 6pt. 160lbs. dressed. It was an easy 35yrd. shot, the Remington Acutip went easly through and right through the center of the heart.
