Dents in cases

I set up my new press tonight. I sized a few 204 and the first 8 or so had some dents. If I remember from reloading years ago, I can shoot these safely as they will reform without dents. Am I right on this. Thanks, Don

Sounds like you had some lube up on the shoulder for those first few - I think we've all been there and done that, and if I don't watch it, I'm sure I'll do it again.

To your question, yes, you can safely shoot those cases with minor dents from sizing and they'll be right as rain afterward.

Thanks a bunch. You are exactly right. I had a little to much lube on the neck and sholder. I wiped the rest and everything was good. Don

Sounds like you got it. I get'em every time I size 3030 brass, and have been loaden 3030 since 1970. No big deal.

The dents are now few and far between since I started using Imperial sizing wax.
