I got the big knife from a junk shop for $4.00.  It was very rusty.  The little one was $20.00.  Both are Old Hickorys.

Ya know, the more I work with it the more I like the .45-70 in a Handi.

Nice photos, except those need to be cast bullets, don't you think?  :)

I'll probably go to cast bullets, but I really like the Remington 405 bullet.

Swampman,

I have that same butcher knife, except it is pre-Old Hickory, just Ontario Knife Works on the blade.  It is my favorite deer cleaning blade, super sharp, and does the bulk of the cleaning work.  I also got it at a junk shop for a coupla bucks.  Wish I could find more.

I have several, my favorite is a Queen Cutlery that's a little smaller than this one.
