I am looking for a oversized bolt handle for  my Accustocked 11FCNS . I see listings for the long actions but not for the short actions . Are then the bolts on these guns the same , or do they differ also other then length.

My concern is the force required to first lift of the bolt where in I assume the action is being cocked . I have arthritis so then need to lower the rifle to hit the bolt to open the action.
I could have this bolt cut off and another installed , but would rather not spend 200. or so on a new gun.
Then again being in Canada some parts are hard to import .

You need to check out Sharpshooter Supply in Delphos, Ohio. Fred can set you up.

I have attempted to get in contact with Sharpshooters and they have a problem with their E-mail address . I checked twice to insure I had the address right  .

Did get through to Savage Arms , and their bolt handle only has a bigger knob , BUT, they report is no longer ???
Well I thought it required also to be at least 3/4" longer to get one's mitt on the bolt .
Savage Bolt Action Forums- have the answers to Savage rifle issues and addressed my questions there .
Then found Tactical Works Inc. and had no issues ordering a part nor was it a problem getting shipment to Canada .
All done in less than a minute .

Should be able to get my fingers to grip this one .

huh, I was going to say that I got one from SS with oversized knob.  Maybe it is not3/4" longer, but I remember it being a big difference :-\.  It makes the bolt lift a LOT easier.  I got it because of wearing gloves, but makes sense with arthritis too.

Glad you found one.

The bolt handle that is coming is more of a tachical unit . Am Sure I will be able to get a "paw" on it .
The ones from SS too are a bit longer than the normal factory and it sports a larger knob . the price was good , but could not get in touch with them.

Now will need to figure out how to decock it and get the end bolt loose .

No need to decock it. Just lay the bolt on your bench and use either a 1/4 inch allen or a screwdriver depending on the age of your rifle and unscrew the bolt in the end. That will release the spring pressure. Put it back together so it is cocked or you'll have a hard time making it so. It's a 1 minute job.

Hope that it works for you.
