Some nice big buck pics...
« on: November 11, 2009, 06:39:18 AM »
The gun season for deer hasn't opened yet in PA, but the rut is in full swing, so I have been spending time in the woods with my camera gear.  These 4 bucks were photographed yesterday morning, within walking distance of each other.  Needless to say, I have my hunting stands picked out....:)

Richard-

Nov. 30 (Monday) thru Dec 12 for Bucks, at least 3 points on one side to be legal.  Thats most of the state, including were I hunt.

If anyone is interested, I put a lot of my wildlife photographs, including some nice bucks, on "Flckr".  Link below.

Wow! Nice Bucks. I swear, more and more Bucks from Wisconsin are just packing up and leaving to parts unknown - and here's 4 of them that headed out to PA. ;)

I checked out part of your Flickr gallery. Awesome wildlife pictures. There are nearly 300 pictures so I had to bookmark the page and I'll return to it until I've seen all the great photos. Nice work. You're a darn good photographer.

Skunk-

I think the deer like the corn out here better...lol

Thanks for the compliment r/e the pics.  Wildlife photography is a big hobby of mine.  Every time I get a buck in the viewfinder, and click the shutter, its like it could have been scope cross hairs instead....

I agree with you Larry. I think photography might just prove ones ability to be hunter. If you can snap a picture (get the shot) of a big buck with a camera, it just as well could have been a rifle in your hands. Either way, you got him.

Very nice bucks!!  Very jealous.  I could hunt several seasons and not see even one like those.

Where I am (Central Texas) we supposedly have the highest concentration of deer in the country.  I don't know about that, but we have a lot of deer.  It's big money here and people like to raise good deer so it's common to see 170"+ bucks wandering around.  But they are not nearly that big-bodied and they don't always have good mass.  Those are some beautiful deer.  Good luck hunting.
