...saw them on sale today at Academy. Reg. $189. I have a lot of shotguns, but I was very tempted. It's a darn good deal.

+1  I bought one last yr @ Dick's-on sale for $150, now they are $200 on sale...great gun, go for it.

I looked at one couple mths back. Nice gun. Couldnt bring my self to buy it . Its made in China. Too many nice guns made in the USA to buy a shotgun from China

I've used and owned a couple of Rem 870 mags. I now own a NEF pardner protector. The NEF works better than the remingtons. I paid $170 for the NEF.

I'm off soon to pick up an Pardner 20 gauge compact for my Daughter. We put a deposit down last weekend. I was impressed by it. He didn't have a Mossberg Bantam Youth in stock. So we got this one. With the extra we saved I order a case of light target loads for her. Anyhow I may see if he has the Protector in stock. I need a dedicated shotgun for HD. If I have to order it, may just get the Maverick Special Purpose, only about $30-$40 more and US made. But for cheap money the Pardner seems pretty good. With all the Chinese stuff we have to by, I really don't mind buying weapons from them  ;)
