The 12th of November and we haven’t had a frost YET, I walked out to the garden this morning and noticed I still have bunches of green tomatoes on the vines.  The recent rains rejuvenated them and they are producing like crazy.  We may have a frost (light freeze) Sunday night, so Saturday I will pull all the green tomatoes, those that are not fried will be made into Chow-Chow. 8) 8)

Deer season open this past Saturday, about 8:30 my son killed a nice (unusual) 9 point it was 78 degrees at the time, you have to process them quickly in this weather. Saturday just before dark I killed a fairly nice eight-point; it was up over 80 degrees by then.

My son’s deer was almost 28 inches wide, none of the tines were over four inches long, the kid at the processing plant called it a low-rider.

I would like to see the pictures.

It's been warmer most mornings in late October and in November than it was in July and August in my part of Minnesota.

We've only got 5 inches of snow, we should have 17 inches by now.  This is going to affect my Moose hunt next week.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
