With the initial reloads I've thus far shot over the chrono using the Barnes 200 TSX and TAC powder, I am achieving an avg. MV of about 2,880 fps with a 5-shot, 100 yard group of 1.5". The accuracy is certainly not benchrest quality but more than suffices for what and where I hunt. This is in a 350 Rem Mag not the Whelen nor for that matter the 358 Winchester. Though I don't have my Barnes reloading manual in front of me, I remember that this load is good to at least 300 yards, not that I ever expect to shoot a deer that far. I have yet to use this combination for hunting, as I've indicated in my previous post.
You had originally asked about the 358 Winchester and the 200 gr TSX. However, when you expressed interest in the 35 Whelen ballistics, I figured I'd chime in on what I was getting in my 350 Mag and the 200 gr TSX.
