AFAIK, it's basically the same polygonal rifling that H&K, Glock, and others have used for probably 20-30 years now. Instead of sharp edges on the lands, they are more rounded. The ad machines say this provides a better seal and also makes the barrel easier to clean. I've found polygonal rifling in H&Ks to be very accurate, but that probably doesn't tell you all that much. In any case, it's a proven system and works well enough. Whether it's actually "better" is open to question.
