Hello from a gun manufacturer
« on: November 14, 2009, 06:57:01 PM »
I got into full time firearm manufacturring because of this addiction. I joined this site for building black powder toys that go boom for myself. My cnc machine centers (Haas VF4, VF2 SS, Sodic A320 EDM and a little bar feeding lathe) stay  running my busineses parts all day long so we just got a Bridgeport and a 14 x 40" lathe for me to play with.

The cannon info on the site is great. The hard part will be deciding what to make first. I will post pictures of what I make as it is made. If anyone has a plan for a cannon/morter that they would like to see made and the pictures posted on this site feel free to e mail the plans to thinwaterboats@yahoo.com and I will look at them.

Welcome. BUT if you are going to try to sell your products to our members here you will need to talk with me about becoming a paid sponsor of the site. Feel free to talk all ya want but if the talk turns to attempts to sell items you make commercially that requires you to become a paid sponsor.

No problem, This site is for my hobby of building anything and everything that I think is cool (not for sale stuff). The products I manufacture don't really fit in with most of this site but if I change what I make I will get with you.

I started on a golf ball morter this morning on my old Birmingham 12 x 36 gear head lathe. I gave up because it is to slow and I will have to wait until my new lathe shows up  Tuesday to finish it. My last build was a 90 lb cannon tube for a buddies father that shoots tennis balls full of concrete. I only shot it once before giving it to him. The video is 20 megs so I have not been able to post it anywhere.
